Experiment and Control Groups

Definition
When the control group is defined as a whole group in an experiment and or study. That does not receive treatment by the researchers and is used to measure how the other tested subjects do.

Example in my Life
A great example is the experimental group would receive cranberry juice. While the controlled group received plain old tap water.
