The Person I Admire
Alexey Kazakov and Tyler Bader Ramos
The best person in my life, who had the greatest impact on me, was my grandfather Anany. He was born in 1914, and he told me many interesting facts about his life. His stories helped me understand what happened in the history of my country, and helped shape my personality.
My grandfather taught me to work with wood, metal and to build house, and fold the oven. He was only 14 when he started to work. All his life he worked hard. He was a railway worker. It was especially difficult during the Second World War. He had only 300 grams of bread a day. Nazis bombed the railway, and he barely survived.
In 1974 when he was 60, I was only 12, and I helped him to build sauna. It was the greatest experience in my life because I learned to build and I listened to stories about his life. He died in 1982 from cancer. He was only 68.
I never forget him because I loved him, and he taught me to love and understand life.
